Hi Doug,

It is the number of summits that you "completed". A summit is Complete when have both Activated and Chased the summit.

I hope that is clear.

I think the SOTA Complete Award is a great idea. The award will spur me on to visit summits I haven't been to before, hopefully starting with a couple of G/SPs later this week when I revisit my home county over the border...

Well done Andy on creating the easily read database for SOTA Complete.

I am studying this. I first imagined that it was f. ex. "worked a hole region". But I soon figured out, by watching my own "SOTA complete", what it was all about.

Good idea!

I wonder, would "Worked a hole Region Roll of Honor" bee a good idea too? (By Activaters and Chasers.)

In reply to LA1DNA:

Well it could have finer filtering added although it's a fairly deeply involved nested set of SQL SELECT statements already. However, the display is sorted by summit reference so you can manually see if you have completed a region as all the summits for that region will be next to each other.

Living in a SOTA Association more than 2.7x the Area of the UK & currently the only activator, my SOTA life will sadly remain incomplete until I can persuade a few SOTA Goats to move here. ; )

Hi Walker

Whats it worth paying for a few of us to come over there and activate those summits for you?

Hello Andy,
About the rules?
On the 23rd of october 2009, we went 3 of us on F/AM-380.
Bob F5HTR, Roger F5LKW, and myself Gerald F6HBI.
each operator had carry his TX and antenna we were operating each others on separate bands far from about 50 meters to avoid qrm.
for the fun i had a qso with Roger F5LKW/P.
Now we have a valid entry for this Summit in the Sota Complete Roll of Honor.
Question: is it good or shall we have to delete the line in our logs?
Gerald

Yes, you should delete these logs from your chaser logs. A QSO with another op in the activation zone of the same summit that you are on is not good for SOTA.

You need to delete these logs from your activator entries for this summit, and from your chaser logs.

Why not explain how to alter and replace a line in one's activator log. It's easy to see how to download and alter a line, but getting the result back into the log is not. Do we have an FAQ section like the NaSota yahoo group, other than purchase related issues in the shop? Why not establish a Wiki-Peaks section. Users submit articles and the MT reviews and edits them prior to instalation. Much of the material is already in the archives of the Reflector, but it's tedious and irritating to dig out. Even then, it's not entirely clear. For example, how many times has someone asked how to post a spot by SMS?

Hi Elliott

We recognise the need for a FAQ section on the website, and we have almost finished writing one ready to be added.

With respect, the question was about whether such contacts were valid to remain in activator and chaser logs, not how to perform such edits. It appears the correspondent is confident in doing that already.
